Ultimate Frisbee Challenge for Grade 5/6 Students

Some teachers at LRPS are challenging the grade 5/6 students to a game of ultimate frisbee during one or two lunchtimes. The aim of the game is to throw the frisbee around with your team mates and try and get one of your team mates to catch the frisbee in the end-zone like a touchdown in American football.

There is no contact in the game and if your team mate drops the frisbee or the other team intercepts the frisbee it is a turnover.

Watch the video below to learn more about the game.

If you are interested in playing ultimate frisbee against the teachers one lunchtime, you must watch the video, put your name down in a comment and explain what you think about the sport.

Mr Andrew has set a fabulous challenge for the senior students of our school. Luke has already cringed at having to comment to get a place in the game. If you would like to participate in this fun opportunity place you need to watch the video, and leave your name in a comment along with your thoughts on the game of ultimate frisbee.

  2. Wow, that video is funny. Ultimate Frisbee is a great type of education for teachers and us. I think Frisbee would be a fantastic game to play instead of doing nothing or being bored during lunch time and snack time. That would be an amazing opportunity for people to learn how to use a Frisbee. I think the sport would be interesting to play during lunchtime because you are at least getting fit and having a cool time out in the yard.

  3. i think that playing Frisbee at lunch time would be a great idea for some people to get fit and do stuff during lunch instead of just walking around doing nothing. i think that it is a great sport that everybody should like.

I think that the sport is a great sport and fun at the same time because you get to play with teammates and it is a combination of games like american rugby and games where you have to throw stuff and then you are not aloud to move. i also think that the sport is good for getting fit because you are running around and running up and down the field.
Mr Andrew Luke posted this on my blog tonight under your post I reblogged. He’s very excited about the Ultimate Frisbee Challenge.

  5. I think frisbee would be good to play during lunchtimes for kids that have nothing to do at lunch and the video is really funny.

  6. I think that playing frisbee during recess and lunch times will be a fantastic way to create friendships between more people and to teach people to work as a team. It would also be a great way of getting people fit and will also allow people to actually do something during recess and lunch times instead of sitting down or walking around doing nothing and being extremely bored. I really enjoy playing frisbee with others and I think it’s a wonderful game to be played!
