  1. What different structures can you see?
    -Bridges
    -Skyscrapers
    -The Art Spire
    -Houses
    -Cranes
    -Roads
What is the purpose of these structures?
The purpose of a skyscraper is to attract tourists.
The purpose of a bridge is so people can get to the other side
The purpose of the Art Spire is to entertain people
The purpose of Houses is so people can have a roof to protect you from rain, a place to sleep and to a place to your items
The purpose of cranes is to bring resources from the ground to where they are building. Cranes are usually seen building skyscrapers
The purpose of roads is for cars to get around the city faster than when you are on foot.
I think that Melbourne is made of both modern and traditional buildings because there are still construction sites that are being built in Melbourne and there are things like the Old Melbourne Gaol or the MCG that have been built centuries ago that still represent Melbourne.
Structures around the world would be different than these structures because different countries build different types of buildings that look different compared to our buildings like how in Germany car factories are mainly made of glass to show off the cars they have.

  2. The structures I see in the picture are:
     Bridges
     Skyscrapers
     Art centres
     Buildings
     Roads
     Crane
     Sport stadium
     Houses
     Cars
     Boats
     Office buildings
     Apartments
     Grand stands
I think the purpose of having these structures there is because if they didn’t have any apartments some people would have big houses that they don’t need and they have it in skyscrapers so there more places to put people. They have art centres because if they didn’t they would be able to have many performances in Melbourne. They have cars because if they didn’t have cars no one would be able to get around get around that fast. I think that they have houses for people to live in because if they didn’t have anywhere to live a lot of people will be homeless. I think they have sports stadium because if they didn’t have sports stadiums they won’t have to play sports and they would be playing in the middle of nowhere but some of buildings are traditional.
I think that Melbourne is a modern building because I don’t think that traditional city would have lots of skyscrapers and sports stadiums.
I believe that all structures in capital cities around the world are not the same because different countries around the world don’t have the same amount of money we have and all countries have different cultures and we have different religions.

  3. What are the different structures that you see?
    • The bridge over the water and the road
    • The Skyscraper
    • The fitness stadiums
    • Grand stand
    • Art gallery
    • Apartments
    • Houses
    • Boats
    • Cars
    • Office buildings
    • Roads
    • Cranes
    • Tennis courts

What is the purpose of these structures?
The purposes of these buildings are for good looks of the city. Building up these buildings mean we have more floor and room, the bigger the building you can have more inside it. If you have long and skinny buildings you can fit more in the city if you have small and fat building.

Do you think Melbourne is made of modern or traditional structures? Explain.
I think Melbourne is made out of modern buildings, but it’s really a mixture of both because some places are really modern and traditional places. People mostly like modern buildings because they are set out differently and really nice.
Are all structures the same in capital cities throughout the world? Why/Why not?
I think that they aren’t the same because if people wanted to come to a different country then they would come and see the exact same thing from the country that they live in. it would get really boring having the same buildings in every single place.

  4. – What are the different structures that you see?
I can see bridges stretching across rivers. I can see lots of house’s cut off from the city by trees. I see lots of roads curving around Melbourne like a snake. I see hundreds of buildings surrounding Melbourne like pillars and statues. I can see skyscrapers towering above everything else. I can see cranes fully stretched out like stick insects. I see specially designed buildings arching over other buildings.

    – What is the purpose of these structures?
The purpose of some of these structures is to attract people and get money to show them around. Some of these structures are hotels, hotels give people a place to stay when they are stopping by or taking a vacation. There are sport arenas to hold sport festivals or the Olympics, or they can hold the football or the basketball or the cricket.
    – Do you think Melbourne is made of modern or traditional structures? Explain.
I believe Melbourne is made of modern structures because Melbourne has huge skyscrapers like the Eureka sky deck and lots of sport stadiums. Back when Melbourne was first founded they didn’t have sport complexes to hold there sporting evens in.
    – Are all structures the same in capital cities throughout the world? Why/Why not?
I believe that all capital cities have different structures. For example India has heaps of different structures. They have sspointed, curved and customize type buildings

  5. What are the different structures that I can see?
    Bridge
    Art centre
    Sports stadium
    Grand stand
    Light tower
    Rialto
    Houses
    Boat
    Cars
    Car park
    Sky rise Towers
    Yarra river
    Swan street bridge
    Power lines/poles
    Modern buildings
    Highways
    Paths
    Cranes
    Skyscrapers
    Road tunnels
    Mouse Shaped Trees
The purpose of these building is some are historical, make the country famous, standing out, interesting, looking sight, tourist, activities and celebrating anything.
I think it’s made of modern structures because everything looks new and shiny and not old and rusty but there are some old structures like the old Melbourne Gaol.
No because we have a lot of new buildings that are unusual and a lot of other countries have way different structures than we do.

  6. – What are the different structures that you see?
     Bridges over rivers.
     Bridges over roads.
     Grand stands.
     Sports stadiums.
     Light towers.
     Houses/homes.
     Apartments.
     Shops/shopping centres.
     Cranes.
     Businesses.
     Hotels.
     Motels.
     Hostels.
     Restaurants.
     Tram lines.
     Train tracks.
     Art centre.
     Cars.
     Busses.
     Boats.
     Sky scrapers.
     Fences.
     Footpaths.

    – What is the purpose of these structures? All of these structures have at least one thing in common, that they all in some way affect the economy. They can affect the economy in small and big ways depending on what type of buildings they are and what they are used for.
    – Do you think Melbourne is made of modern or traditional structures? Explain. Melbourne has some traditional and old buildings that Melbourne is known for. Melbourne also has very modern buildings relying on technology and modern inventions.
    – Are all structures the same in capital cities throughout the world? Why/Why not? Some are the same but some are extremely different. Throughout the world buildings come in many different shapes and sizes.

  7. I can see bridges, sports stadium, roofs of houses and a radio studio.
The purpose of these structures are to work in and live in.
Melbourne is modern and traditional because Melbourne never knock down the old buildings.
Not all structures are the same because some countries don’t have enough money.

  8. All of these structures were of course made by man. The different structures are these following names:
    -Roads/highways
    -Bridges
    -Skyscrapers
    -Sports stadium
    -Road bridges
    -Boats
    -Light towers
    -Factory
    -Houses
    -Train tracks
    -Cars
    -Seats
    -Apartments
    -Concrete
    -Parking lot
    -Park
    -Grandstand
    -Shops
    -Restaurants

The purpose of these structures is for many different things. The sports stadiums are for playing sports, such as cricket and football. The skyscrapers are normally for business meetings and work. The roads are used for cars to travel to different places, such as work, or friends’ houses. There are houses to keep people dry, and warm, and they are also safe. That’s the same as apartments, because they also do the same thing, although they cost money to stay in a room for some nights. Light towers help people see where they’re going when it’s night time. Parks can be for playground equipment so that kids can play, or can just be a grass land so people can have a rest. Boats are exactly like cars but they drive across water, and most of them are also bigger than cars. Restaurants so that people can eat different food then they normally eat at home and shops give out supplies, like food, drinks, and other equipment for your house.
Melbourne’s structures are most likely to be modern. I think they are modern because they build at least one new building in Melbourne every day. If you study close at the buildings, you can also see that they look as if they are in new condition. If these building were traditional, then why would they be so fancy? Melbourne’s buildings are also taller than the traditional buildings you see, like the Old Melbourne Gaol. I also believe that they are modern because back then, they didn’t use as much materials to build things. But I’m also thinking that Melbourne can also be traditional, because some of the houses and building have been around for 50-100 years. My best example would be the Old Melbourne Gaol. That has been around since the 1800’. Melbourne itself has also been around for maybe 178 years old. So I think that there has got to be buildings constructed since when it was first discovered.
I don’t believe that all buildings around the world are the same because some of them like in Italy are old and traditional, but Melbourne is all modern and new. Some countries like old and traditional for its history, and amazement. But some people like modern, because it’s an all new look, and it can also hold history. I don’t believe that all the cities around the world are old and traditional, but the same with the modern ones. Just look at Italy, for an example. Some buildings have been around Jesus, and just maybe as soon as Jesus dies, like the Colosseum, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Trevi Fountain, and a lot more structures, But look at Melbourne. Most of our buildings have been around since 1990-2013 (today), but the reason to this is because we haven’t been around for a long time. So I believe that structures all around the world are different.
