  1. -Describe in detail what the goliath bird eating spider looks like.

In my opinion, the goliath bird eating spider looks terrifying and i would be scared out of my wits if i saw it with my very own eyes. The hairs on its legs look like tiny spikes that can used as a weapon. The fangs look very sharp like the end of a knife And if that bit me that would be very painful.

ā€“ Explain how the spider catches its prey.

The spider strikes its pray but leaping forward and pushing its fangs into the target, By doing that it paralyzes the target so it cannot escape. Then it brings it into there borrow. The spider does not eat the meat of the pray it liquefys it so it can drink it.

ā€“ Describe what the spider can do to protect it self.

The goliath bird eating spider can sense vibrations that can tell the spider if danger is around. The hairs on its back are top tipped bards that the spider has,
The spider rubs its legs making it able to flick them up to us a weapon. The bards act like a little stingers can that sting the predator in the eye, nose, or mouth.

ā€“ Are you happy that this spider is not found in Australia? Why/why not?

I am very happy actually, that the goliath bird eating spider is not in Australia because it looks very dangerous for me and terrifying at the same time. And if it was in Australia i would run as fast a cheetah if i saw one.

  2. In my opinion I think that the spider is actually a scary looking thing. I am happy that the goliath bird eating spider doesn’t exist around these areas (Australia). The hairs are as long as tiny little knife used as a source to fight with that’s probauly how it protects itself.

It catches its prey by standing still in camouflage and then it leaps forward frantically pushing its fangs into its target. To do that it paralyzes some venom into the target so it cannot escape. The spider exactly like a fly it puts a liquid inside the food/prey because they cannot eat solids and it drinks it instead of eating it.

It protects itself by sense of vibration that tells it danger is around. The hairs on its back are tipped off bards that the spider has. The spider rubs its legs together making it able to flick up to use as a weapon. The bards act like little stingers.

I am actually very happy that the spider is not found in these terms of Australia its a dangerous thing/spider. If I saw one I would happen to be faster than a cheetah. That would make me the fastest land animal (even though I’m not a animal)

  3. Mr Andrew you really need to choose a better task for your students to do. I have been rather scared as I scrolled down my reader feed to so many spiders. Mr Andrew I just wanted to let you know Mrs Joyce is super dooper scared of spiders. Too Scarey how about a video about the world biggest snail or something. Just a suggestion!!!
