Homework: Biology Science – Life Cycle of a Fly

This week in class, we looked at the life cycle of a bee. For homework this week, you are going to use the image below to explain the life cycle of a fly.

Look carefully at the image and in a small piece of writing explain what happens to a fly throughout its life.

Your homework will be due on Wednesday 20th of May.

  1. The female fly lays the eggs and the eggs don’t hatch for 8-24 hrs then once the eggs have hatch all of them turn into larva and they don’t hatch for 4-7 days and once the larva has hatch it turns into the pupa and the pupa does not hatch for 10-20 days and then it turns into an adult fly and then it keeps going all over again.

  2. Read– australiamuseum.net.au
“Decomposition: fly life cycle and development times”

    KEMPER–
Adult fly has eggs in a dead animal. They can have up too 300 eggs.
After 1 day the egg turn into larva.
The larva eat the dead animal blood. They move in groups and grow for 4 days.
The larva move from the dead body to the soil and turn into a pupa.
Pupa does not eat and takes 10 day to grow into a adult.
When it is a adult it goes back to the dead body and eats then lay more egg

  3. The first stage of a fly is a egg. An female adult lays its eggs sometimes on a leaf or somewhere else. The egg takes about 8 to 24 hours to hatch, Then when the egg has hatched it turns into larva or larvae depending how many there are. The larva stays like that for about 4 to 7 days. The larva has to eat a lot before it can turn into a pupa. The pupa or pupae depending how many there are is its 3rd stage. The pupa stays like that for about 10 to 20 days. Then when the pupa has eaten a lot for it to be able to change form, It turns into a Adult fly.

And that is a life cycle of a fly .

  4. The aduit lays eggs, then in 8 to 24 hours the eggs turn into larva. After another 4 to 7 days it turns into pupa. For 10 to 20 days then it’s an adult and it all starts again.

  5. A fly starts off with a egg and continues to larva. It stays in pupa stage and 10-20 days it’s an adult.

It has a very simple process.

  6. the first stage of a fly live is a egg it is a egg foe 8-24 hours then it turns into a larva for 4-7 days then a pupa for 10-20 days then last a adult , That is the life cycle of a fly and it starts all over again

  7. The first stage of a fly is an egg. It takes about 8-24 hours for the eggs to hatch. After the egg stage it turns into lava or larvae, depending on how many there is it takes about 4-7 days until it turns into pupa or pupae, depending on how many there is. The pupa or pupae takes 10-20 days until it turns into the adult fly

  8. First a fly is an egg for 8_24 hours. Once it has hatched larva/larvae for 4-7 days. And then a pupa for 10- 20 days. And finally an a adult fly and the adult has eggs and it keeps going on and on.

  9. First a fly is an egg for 8_24 hours. Once it has hatched larva/larvae for 4-7 days. And then a pupa for 10- 20 days. And finally an a adult fly and the adult has eggs and it keeps going on and ages .
